How To Apply
Arizona Center for Afterschool Excellence invites trainers to apply to be listed on our online Out-of-School Time Trainer Network. The Trainer Network will provide Arizona out-of-school time professionals with a list of high-quality professional development facilitators covering a variety of relevant topics and serving various regions throughout the state. To become an approved Trainer, you must:- Complete the online application
- Provide at least two references who can attest to your experience as a trainer
- Be well versed in School’s Out, Make It Count: Arizona Quality Standards for Out-of-School Time Programs
- Effectively communicates the specific content that a training is to focus on
- Understands alternative methods to use when training staff with different experiential and professional backgrounds
- Reflects a combination of youth development & education approaches to working with youth
- Allows for a range of learning styles
- Integrates theory and practice
- Involves staff in identifying their own needs
- Is inclusive of all staff levels, while appropriate for each staff level
- Is inclusive of cultures and build on community
- Offers opportunities for participants to interact and learn from one another
- Honors life experiences of participants
