Supporting Staff Who Support Students with Trauma
Not only are we supporting today’s youth who may be enduring poverty, abuse or neglect, bullying, drugs and alcohol, or dealing with mental health, but we are also supporting those who endure the stress from one and even all these challenges. We know trauma today has been exacerbated by recent world events. This is true not just for youth, but for staff who are supporting youth, and leaders who are supporting staff. In this session, we will show participants how to manage their own emotional state and build strategies of resilience so they can show up for students and each other with strength, calmness, and hope.
