SciJinks is all about weather. Short for Science Hijinks, SciJinks is a joint NOAA and NASA educational website that puts fun and adventure into learning about weather, satellite meteorology, and Earth science. The activities are geared toward middle- and high-school aged kids and their educators.
The Walking Classroom is a national award-winning education program that provides students and teachers with an innovative way to get exercise without sacrificing instructional time. The nonprofit program’s “Walk, Listen, and Learn” methodology capitalizes on the favorable link between exercise and cognitive function.
They’ve released a new podcast series highlighting science careers, available for free without the Walking Classroom Kits. Download the free podcasts and lesson plans from their site based on the person and their career. Walk, listen and learn about various career possibilities.
STEM on the Cheap was one of our most popular workshops at the 204 and 2015 School’s Out, Make it Count! Arizona Statewide Out-of-School Time Conferences, giving attendees the ability to enrich their STEM programming without breaking the bank.
