Congratulations to the 2016 Conference iPad Winner!

For the second year in a row, AzCASE has been excited to offer an iPad Air as an incentive for workshop and conference evaluations for the School’s Out, Make It Count conference. This coveted prize has been generously provided by conference sponsor Cox Communications, and awarded to one lucky attendee of the annual conference.

Hundreds of conference attendees submitted workshop and conference evaluations, which were then entered into the iPad raffle. Sara Palmani of the Highland Lakes School ”Bears Den” was randomly selected as the winner, and on December 7th we paid the program a visit and presented the dedicated Instructional Assistant with her prize.

Highland Lakes is a Deer Valley USD K-8 school located in Glendale. On the day that we visited, the 50 youth in attendance were actively engaged in a variety of activities, both guided and self-directed. The sixth graders led the younger students in decorating holiday ornaments.

2015 was the first year that Sara Palmani attended the School’s Out, Make It Count conference. When asked to describe her biggest take-away, she responded, “ ‘Never assume, always question. Be ready to learn.’ I learned that in Larry Kerby’s session, my favorite of the day. I use it every day, in the program and as a parent.”
