The need for afterschool among the 984,561 school-age children in Arizona: 

• 30%, or 295,368 K-12 youth, are unsupervised afterschool.
  
• Only 12%, or 118,147, of Arizona’s K-12 youth are able to participate in afterschool programs.
  
• 30% of all children not in afterschool would be likely to participate IF an afterschool program were available.
