2010 Arizona Afterschool Champion

In addition to afterschool programs and staff, the Afterschool Awards of Excellence also honor an Afterschool Champion in our community.

We are pleased to announce Lattie F. Coor as the 2010 Arizona Afterschool Champion. Dr. Coor is President-Emeritus, Professor and Ernest W. McFarland Chair in Leadership and Public Policy in the School of Public Affairs at Arizona State University, and Chairman and CEO of the Center for the Future of Arizona. Dr. Coor will be recognized for his lifetime of commitment to and advocacy for Arizona’s children and quality education programs at all levels.

The 9th annual Afterschool Awards of Excellence are taking on a new format this year!   
 
In an effort to spotlight the many examples of excellence in afterschool programming, this year's luncheon features three finalists in each category.  We congratulate the three finalists announced below and look forward to announcing the winner in each category at the Spotlight on Afterschool: Awards of Excellence Luncheon on October 13th.
